We want to thank all members that attended the September meeting. The next SCHEDULED meeting is October 11, 2021 at the Adams County 911 Center. We encourage all Fire Police to attend meetings. At our next meeting the Gettysburg State Police Commander has agreed to speak.
The Adams County Emergency Center is beginning to return to normal operations. You may want to call before gong to be certain that you can get in. Also, the Mask Policy is if you have been fully vaccinated you need not wear a mask. You will need a mask if you are not at least 3 weeks past your final vaccination.
Attention Fire Police Incident Commanders. Due to all the Civil Unrest around the Country it has been recommended by the Pa Fire Police Assoc. that no Fire Police Officer be assigned or stationed at any site or intersection alone. We realize our numbers are low but for safety sake try to assign 2 or 3 Officers at any post. Please be CAUTIOUS while out on calls.
The next Pa Fire Police Assoc. meeting date is Sunday September 13, 2021. The location is not firm yet but may be held in Warren, Pa. Lunch will be at 12:00 Noon and the meeting will start at 1300 Hrs.
ACVESA had their Bi-Monthly meeting on 9-2-21.
On Monday September 13, 2021 at 1900 Hrs. St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Grandview Road in Hanover will be celebrating Patriot Day with a Blue Mass to remember and give thanks to our First Responders, Military and Healthcare Workers, Active and Retired and their Families. Uniforms are encouraged but not required. Any questions can be referred to Wilbur Smith at 717-630-9122
The Fire Fighters Memorial will be held on 9-26-2021. We have been ask to provide 4-5 Fire Police for traffic control. If you want to help contact Wayne Reed at Company 29. Class A or B uniforms are would be appropriate for the occasion along with your Vest.
ACVESA will be 100 years old next year and discussion was held about celebrating this. More discussion will be held next meeting November 4, 2021.
